Wales Online – Cardiff schoolchildren sending teddy bears to refugee children

Greenhill Special School in Rhiwbina is taking part in Project Paddington

Schoolchidren in Cardiff have been playing their part to help refugee children.

Greenhill Special School in Rhiwbina is taking part in Project Paddington.

The scheme asks children to write a note and attach it to a teddy bear which is in turn sent to a refugee child.

After bears were donated by local businesses Heath Vets and Tree Control, the school got to work and pupils have been writing their notes all week.

‘Something children will understand’

On Friday, the school will hold a charity fancy dress day.
